Jacob Dennis is a college senior residing in Baltimore, MD. He began studying the violin at age 6 before seeing the light and switching over to the viola at the suggestion of his violin teacher at age 13. In high school, he began playing with the Thurnaeur School of Music’s symphony orchestra and participated in the 2010 ACT-SO regional and national competition, where he won first prize in the former. He has served as the assistant concertmaster of the Boston University Campus Orchestra, the principal of the COF chamber orchestra, and a member of the Brookline Symphony Orchestra.

He frequently plays with his church’s choir as a violist and a vocalist. Most recently he as shifted his focus to teaching and has recently joined an experimental group called Kontrolled Khaos that plays soul and jazz fusion music. In his spare time he enjoys reading, eating, and spending time with his family.
